Jaidyn Ryals Gymnastics
Jaidyn (Jai) started gymnastics at a local gym in Arizona when she was three years. She loved tumbling and excelled. Two years later, after relocating to San Antonio, she started competing as a level 4 gymnast at Alamo Heights Gymnastics Academy in 2012. By 2015, she had progressed to Level 7. At the 2015 Level 7, Region 3 Championship, she placed 10th All Around.
As a level 8 gymnast in 2016, Jai had a good season numerous all-around podium finishes. She repeated level 8 for the 2017 season where she placed 9th all-around at Texas State Championship and qualified for Region 3 Championship. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished 9th in the all-around.
Jai moved up to level 9 in 2018 where she had a strong season but numerous injuries. She placed 6th at the State Championships and qualified for Region 3 Championships. Due to injuries and a few months in a boot, Jai is planning to repeat level 9 in 2019.
She trains 25 hours per week at AHGA under coach Jenny Miller. She is working hard to regain her strength and consistency with her routines. Her long-term goal is to obtain a division I college gymnastics scholarship.
In 2014, Jai started USAG Acro Gymnastics in addition to Women's Artistic. As the "top" of a trio of 3 experienced artistic gymnasts, the girls quickly learned the rope. They worked their way through Texas state competition, regionals and qualified for nationals. At nationals, the girls received 3rd place for their age bracket.
